A thorough inspection of trees affected by the storm to determine what can be retained with remedial work and what needs to come down entirely.
Fallen Tree Removal
Safe extraction and removal of fully uprooted or collapsed trees, including stump grinding where required.
✂️
Remedial Pruning
Where a tree has been damaged but is worth saving, we prune to restore structure, reduce ongoing hazard and promote healthy recovery.

Identification and controlled removal of hanging, partially attached or structurally compromised limbs.
🔧
Tree Bracing & Support
For trees with split unions or newly weakened structure, cable bracing can provide long-term support and extend the tree's life safely.
🏠

Careful extraction of trees or limbs that have come down on buildings, undertaken to avoid causing further structural damage.

How it works
Our Tree Removal Process
You Call, We Respond
Call Wayne directly on 0800 800 TREES. We'll ask a few quick questions, assess the urgency and get a team to your property as fast as we can. We respond across Auckland seven days a week.
On-Site Hazard Assessment
Our arborists assess the full picture on arrival — not just what's already fallen, but what else may be at risk. We identify hidden hazards including hanging limbs, root movement and compromised structure before any work begins.
Safe Site Establishment
We establish a controlled working zone, brief everyone on site and confirm proximity to powerlines or structures. No cutting starts until the area is properly secured.
Controlled Removal or Remediation
Using specialist climbing, rigging and cutting techniques, we remove or remediate damaged material in a methodical, controlled way - protecting your property, structures and garden throughout.
Full Site Clean-Up
All timber, branches and green waste are removed from your property. We leave the site clear, tidy and safe.
Post-Work Advice
Once the immediate hazard is dealt with, we'll advise on the condition of your remaining trees, any follow-up pruning or bracing worth considering and what to keep an eye on going forward.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions
-
In many cases, yes. Damage to structures, fences or vehicles caused by a fallen tree is often covered under standard home and contents policies, and your insurer may require a quote or invoice from a qualified arborist. We can provide the documentation you need for your claim. We recommend contacting your insurer as early as possible after the event.
-
Do not approach the tree or the lines. Call Vector immediately on 0508 832 867 to have the line de-energised before any arborist work can take place. We will attend once the lines have been cleared or isolated, and we always check for powerline proximity as part of our on-site assessment.
-
Potentially, yes. A noticeable change in lean — especially if accompanied by soil cracking or root plate movement at the base — can indicate root failure that isn't visible from above. We recommend calling us for an assessment rather than waiting to see what develops.
-
Emergency work to address an immediate safety hazard generally does not require prior consent, even on a protected tree. Follow-up removal or significant pruning once the danger is dealt with may require consent. We'll advise you on this during our site assessment and can help you navigate any requirements if needed.
-
We do our best to attend genuine hazards as quickly as possible, including same-day response for urgent situations. Availability depends on current demand and the scale of any storm event. Call Wayne directly on 0800 800 TREES and we'll give you an honest timeframe.

ll debris is removed from your property as part of our service. If you'd like to keep firewood or chip from the job, let us know and we'll discuss what's possible.
